A public garden in the making
Limeledge is a botanical garden and arboretum growing from the restoration of a historic Central New York farm. Across approximately 250 acres of gardens, fields, forests, wetlands, and other natural areas, visitors can explore a landscape where horticulture, conservation, history, and ecological restoration come together.
Limeledge is still taking shape. Visitors should not expect the manicured experience of a long-established botanical garden. Trails may be rough, young collections may consist of small plants, and restoration work may be visible throughout the property. That process is part of the experience: visitors are invited to watch a public garden grow.

Before You Visit
Come prepared for a rough, rustic property.
Trails and walking surfaces may be uneven, muddy, steep, or otherwise unimproved. Sturdy footwear is strongly recommended.
Expect nature.
Ticks, mosquitoes, poison ivy, wildlife, fallen branches, mud, and other ordinary features of fields and forests are part of the landscape.
Dogs must be leashed.
Pets are welcome but must be leashed at all times; leashes should not exceed 6 feet. Please remove and properly dispose of pet waste.
No bicycles or e-bikes.
For the safety and enjoyment of visitors, bicycles and e-bikes are not permitted on Limeledge trails or grounds.
Protect what is growing here.
Please do not collect, cut, dig, remove, damage, or disturb plants, labels, research materials, wildlife, or other features of the property.

Limeledge is a developing historic farm property with uneven ground, slopes, gravel and grass surfaces, and rustic trails. Not every area is accessible to visitors with mobility limitations. If you have accessibility questions or would like to discuss accommodations for a visit or program, please contact us before your visit so we can help you plan.

We believe access to plants, nature, and environmental learning should not depend on someone's ability to pay. Limeledge is maintained for public benefit, and we want people to feel welcome to explore, learn, and return.
